Adventures with Caleb & Co.: February 2010

We have some sad news to report. Its official...Caleb has his first girlfriend, Dina. They met at Geby's and apparently it was love at first sight. He still tries to play it cool in front of Matthew, but he is totally smitten. Although it breaks mommy's heart that he could love another, she has to say that Dina is really very cute. We always knew this day was coming, we just didn't expect it so soon…

Sunday was Dina's birthday so we took Cae and Matty over to her house for a party. This was the first time Cae had seen Matty in two weeks so they were beyond excited to get to play together again.* At the party they played on the couch, ran around hitting each other with foam from the giant puzzle on the floor, destroyed all Dina's toys, ate pizza, and pretty much ignored everyone else at the party (including mommy and daddy).

When Dina finally made her debut (she was napping when we arrived and then took forever to get dressed in her princess outfit) she was cranky and not really feeling the whole party thing.** Cae tried to get her to play, but quickly gave up and rejoined Matty when she seemed uninterested (peace out Dina – bros before hoes)!

Dina finally warmed up at the end of the day just as Cae and Matty were tiring out. Caleb gave her a couple kisses goodbye (this little boy kisses EVERYONE - something we may need to put a stop to before he goes to daycare) and we headed back to Matty's. On the way home Cae and Matty entertained us with some air drumming and a song. At least we think that's what it was, we're not really sure. Sometimes we really wish we spoke baby…whatever they were singing must have been hilarious.
