We All Scream for Ice Cream!

 A Letter

To: The manufactures of the teeny tiny ice cream cone

We salute your genius! They are absolutely perfect for little kids. We came across your little wonder at dinner a couple weeks ago and can't believe we haven't seen it before now. To say our son loved it would be an understatement, baby boy devoured it! He licked all his ice cream and then ate the entire cone. Quite an accomplishment as we can't seem to get him to eat anything.* It is the perfect size for his baby hands and he managed to eat the whole thing without spilling any on his clothes.

We are beyond pleased to have been introduced to your product, however we are finding it difficult to locate you in any grocery stores. If you could please make these tiny delights easily accessible to the public you would make us extremely happy and we promise to spread the word.

Thank you,

The Johnsons

Unfortunately, since our dinner outing we have tried unsuccessfully to locate a store that carries these teeny tiny ice cream cones. You would think the ice cream cone company would want to capitalize on their brilliant invention and put teeny tiny cones on the shelves with normal, big, and bigger cones, but no; at least not that we have seen. So, if any of our few readers happens to come across a box of teeny tiny cones, please send them our way. We would hate to have to go back to the restaurant and ask for some because although the ice cream cone was brilliant, the food was not. Oh, and creepy Uncle Harry - the host/owner/weird guy at the restaurant who hangs out and harasses patrons was enough to make us never want to go back. He invaded Cae's personal space one too many times and we swear at one point Cae was about to shove his ice cream cone (or fist) in his face.

Sorry for the poor picture quality but they were taken with the iPhone.

* That's not entirely true. He will eat if you dip whatever you are feeding him in sour cream. Yep, sour cream. Bizarre? Yes! Do we know why? No. But, for some reason this boy cannotgetenough sour cream. We could devote and entire post to the foods he won't touch until we dip it in this magical mixture of fermented cream by lactic acid (and perhaps someday we will), but for now let us just say that as much as we at one point had dreams of being those parents who only feed their kids nutritious and healthy foods, it all flew out the window when baby boy stopped eating. Now, we do whatever we can - even if it means Cae gets 35 times the recommend daily intake of dairy for a toddler. Make it work!

Excuse Me...Do You Have Any Grey Poupon?

Have we told you lately how much we love Geby? Well, we really do. How great is it that she not only teaches our son to sing, dance, say the alphabet, play nice, and say 'bye' in three different languages; on top making sure that he is fed, dry, loved, nourished, etc. But, she also arranges grown up luncheons and play dates for him! She's the best.

How cute are Cae and Matty at their little luncheon? Geby says that they love to sit there talking and eating like little men (they have a lot to talk about now that Matty stays home). She says the cutest thing is that they like to make sure and drink from their cups at the same time.
We are so blessed that she is willing to capture such great memories for us so we can see Cae grow. We can't imagine what we would have done without her. Here are some other pictures she sent us of our little guy and his best buddy playing.

Very important morning meeting by the window:

High fives to a successful meeting and job well done:

Typing up some emails to co-workers:

Our little man is growing up so fast!
