That I can't keep out. Got me singing like na na na na everyday.
Because this post is about a song, and they play this song on the radio in Denver like na na na na everyday, we're going to go with it for the title of this post even though it's not the most fitting.
Anywhoo...like we imagine most kids do their first year of life, Caleb went through his sick patch a little while ago. Days were consumed with lots of doctor visits, Children's Tylenol, saline solution and snot suckers (don't know the technical name), Children's Benadryl*, antibiotics, and crying and screaming (not just from Caleb either). Cae also thought for added fun he'd choose not to eat anything for two weeks. Super! Really, are any of us shocked that he's currently in the 3rd percentile in terms of his weight? What do you expect when you don't eat Cae? Keep it up and you will end up just a "petite little guy with a generous head."**

So, in order to lighten the mood and try to enjoy the many sick days mommy spent at home with Caleb, we came up with a little song to sing when we he was feeling lousy. Mommy sings the main part and Caleb chimes in when he feels appropriate. We promise you we did not tell him to join in when he did - he came up with his part all on his own, which is one of the reasons this video is just too cute. Folks, we may have a comedian on our hands...

* FYI - the correct dosage of Children's Benadryl for a toddler is 4mL - NOT .04mL as our doctor (incorrectly) told us. After correctly administering 4mL of Benadryl to Caleb before bed, we had a major meltdown when we (30 minutes later) re-read the doctor's note that stated to give him .04mL. A lot of tears, irrational screaming, a call to poison control, and an over night vigil above his bed to ensure he was in fact still breathing (because does poison control really know what they are talking about) we walked away learning 2 very valuable lessons; 1) .04mL of Benadryl is a very small amount and is not enough to kill your child or put him/her in a coma and 2) our doctor sucks and we need to find a new one asap.
