Bedtime is a special time in the Johnson household... A bath every night is followed by filling the elephant humidifier with water, lots of lotion, diaper, combing of the hair, and finally music. We typically rock U2 or Bob Marley lullabies on the CD player as back round noise, but the real treat is singing over the music to Cae as he falls asleep. And, for added fun, Cae has started singing right along with us. Complete with accompaning back pats and kisses. Adorable. It started with him just humming a few words, but has slowly progressed to him singing almost the entire chorus. Mommy usually sings Oasis, Alanis Morissette, or Nat King Cole (we don't discriminate here) and daddy sings Ottis Redding, Chain Gang (don't ask).
The other day on the way to dinner Airplanes by B.o.B came on the radio and to our surprise Cae started singing right along with it.* So, before snuggling down to sleep we thought we'd play a little Airplanes on the iPhone and let Cae sing along.
Isn't it adorable how much he gets into it!?! He has the closed eyes and the Stevie Wonder head going. You're too cool Caleb!
Sweet dreams everyone!

* Yes, Denver radio stations play the same song over and over again so much so that our 1 year old son can memorize them. But we digress...
